From the first view to where we are now, the Conifer Development representatives and the local Fort Hill site team have been working very hard to make this project feasible. A large visible part of that is the enormous clean up they accomplished in the auditorium.
Lots of scraping, fixing and painting will need to occur next. The electrical, plumbing, heating & air conditioning, as well as the build-out are well under way. The upper part of the auditorium is repaired and painted. The sprinkler system is installed. All plumbing is complete. Electrical wiring is in process, and lots of drywall is being finished.
The contractors are also working on the parking lots and landscaping.
A lot of work has been done in 2018 to prepare for the remodeling process. Architectural designs, engineering, and electrical drawings have been completed. The building permit is ready, and hard work is progressing to get the auditorium prepared for a make-over. Approximately 750 seats were removed, disassembled and taken out of the theatre. Below are pictures of the "before" and "after" of that process, thanks to Scott Kesel, Joe Guastaferro, Paul Krug and Ranae Nichols. The cast iron seat stands with the classic "CA" are available as a gratuity for donations.
